Our brand has spanned four generations of the Baxters family over 150 years. But the Baxters family isn’t just our immediate family, it involves everyone we’ve worked with since that little shop in Fochabers opened its doors.
Food is a highly competitive and fast paced marketplace and we stand firmly within it. The level of quality we achieve in our products and ingredients is crucial to our brand, and we strive for that level of excellence in every aspect of the company. To do this we know that we have to attract and retain the highest calibre of employees who share our passion.
Passionate about our People
Watch the story of Baxters employees.
I began working for Baxters as a Development chef in 2010 working in the NPD department in Fochabers. I worked hands on in the kitchen with the team making new products. Over the last 9 years my role has changed a lot. I now work with the marketing team in Edinburgh creating new conceptual products and looking for new areas the business could move into. This means I travel a lot and sample lots of exciting foods looking for inspiration to bring back to my kitchen. I think one of the great things about Baxters is that everyone has a passion for food and top of that list is Audrey. For many years working in restaurants I wanted to work for an owner who cared as much as I did. I have that at Baxters
People are at the heart of our brand. So, of the many things that make us proud of what we’ve built, one of them is how much our employees enjoy working with us. Many employees within our teams have over 25 years' service under their belts - amounting to over one thousand years of experience that we just couldn't do without.
So, could your future be part of the Baxters family?
When I joined Baxters as Management Accountant to cover a 6-month maternity leave I did not anticipate that 6 years on I would still be going strong. Now as Site Finance Lead at Manor I support the Commercial and Operational Teams in meeting their financial deliveries. What I love most about Baxters is the fantastic group of people I have the pleasure of working with day-to-day!
I joined Baxters 9 years ago and my first role was as a Catering Assistant in the Visitors Centre, I really embraced this role as I had worked in hospitality for 12 years part-time prior to joining the company. It was a fantastic team and we all loved to share the Baxters experience with our customers. I am now a Training Co-ordinator which is my passion, as I was a trainer for 14 years prior to joining Baxters. Working with a company which has such an incredible history and a great story to tell is a great feeling, I was also lucky enough to know Mr Baxter as he was a frequent visitor to the restaurant. We are a forever expanding business and are at the forefront of the changing market, I feel very privileged to be part of this.
