Colin will be joined by his daughter, Heather, and granddaughters, Chloe and Morgan, as they aim to raise money for CLAN Cancer Support Moray.
The family is keen to raise as much as possible for the charity which provided invaluable support to Heather following a breast cancer diagnosis. Thankfully Heather, who has a tattoo and piercing business in Elgin called ‘Needle a Little Love’ with Chloe and Morgan working alongside her doing eye lashes and looking after reception respectively, has fully recovered and has taken up running to support her health and wellbeing.
Colin has worked at Baxters Fochabers site for over 13 years and before that served in Logistics at RAF Lossiemouth. He is no stranger to the Loch Ness Marathon but only recently returned to running after damaging his ligaments whilst taking part in the full marathon seven years ago. However, this year’s evet is set to be extra special.
Colin explains: “Heather has been through gruelling treatment for her cancer but, as you can imagine, we are absolutely delighted she has made a full recovery. Now that we are both back running, we wanted to celebrate by taking part in the Loch Ness Marathon 10k Corporate Challenge and, with both Chloe and Morgan keen to join us, we thought we’d make it a three generation event!
“In addition to raising some money for CLAN, we were also keen to represent Baxters as a thank you for the support I have received during this difficult time. We are all training hard and excited for the event at the end of September.”
Good luck to Colin, Heather, Morgan and Chloe. You can support their fundraising by clicking the link here.
